The engine is free and open. Cloud is the managed product — hosted in Europe, sovereign by construction, priced by how many rows you keep.

Open source — free forever

The whole engine, embedded in your app. MIT or Apache-2.0, single-file, self-hosted. Nothing held back.

Arkeion Cloud

Managed databases, run for you in the EU. Priced by rows, not gigabytes — Arkeion stores a row in about 35 bytes, so counting rows is the honest unit and it shows you what the compactness buys.

Cloud for AI & Vector

Vector search and RAG are bound by index RAM and CPU rather than disk, so they belong on their own track — priced by vectors and compute, not by rows.

In preparation. Plans for vector and AI workloads are not published yet — the engine already ships vector search, and the prices will appear here once they are set.

Sovereign by construction

Not a policy page — a design. Every plan is European, encrypted and auditable. The higher you go, the less you have to trust us.

EU-hostedOVH, French jurisdiction. Your data never leaves Europe.
Your key (BYOK)Encrypted at rest with a key we never store. Offline, it's unreadable without you.
DPA + GDPR-readySignable data-processing agreement on every paid plan. Per-tenant isolation.
Provable historyverify() + hash-chained commits + AS OF. Tamper-evident by construction.
Your data is a fileExport it, self-host it, walk away. No lock-in — the engine is open.
Consent-gated accessOn every plan, free included: break-glass needs your approval, and every access is written to an audit you verify.
Managed “We don't access your data.” EU + your key + isolation + a provable audit trail.
Self-host / Sovereign “We can't.” Run it yourself, or on a confidential enclave (SEV-SNP): the queries run in CPU-encrypted memory we cannot read — proven by attestation.

Where this is going

We don't want to stay a managed-access cloud. The roadmap is a cloud we cannot read — where you don't have to trust that we don't.

  1. Now Managed, EU — “we don't access” Per-tenant isolation, TLS, BYOK encryption at rest with your key, verify() audit.
  2. Next Consent-gated, provable access Break-glass needs your approval; every operator access is written to a tamper-evident log you verify.
  3. Then Sovereign enclave — “we can't” Confidential compute (SEV-SNP, EU bare-metal): your queries run in CPU-encrypted memory, proven by attestation. Not even root can read it.
  4. Goal Confidential by default The managed-access model retired. You shouldn't have to trust us — the math should.
